Asset types organize assets in functional data groups with specific behavior and metadata.


General

This Master data section creates and maintains asset types. 

Details

  • ID: unique ID of the asset type. The asset type is hierarchical and noted as the dot-delimited path.

  • Name: Name of the asset type (in all defined system languages).

  • Description: descriptive text for the asset type (in all defined system languages).

  • Colour: display color of the asset type. This color is used as a box-display color in the asset planning for placed elements.

  • File behavior:

    • No files allowed: assets of this type can not possess files (for example issues and schedules).

    • Files allowed: assets of this type can possess files, but doesn't have to.

    • Files necessary: assets of this type can only be created if they possess a file.

  • Asset application: assignment of an asset application for the asset type.

  • Element name: name of elements of the asset type (in all defined system languages).
