Configure page formats

This Master data section creates and maintains paper-format definitions. These definitions are used as presets in the asset-planning application.

Format details

• ID: unique ID of the format. The ID is created by the system.

• Double-sided: this flag provides a double-page layout in the asset-planning application.

• Name: visible name of the format (in all defined system languages).

• Description: descriptive text for the format (in all defined system languages). Does not become visible for the user.

• Asset type: binds the format to the given asset type.

• Asset subtype: binds the format to the given asset subtype.

• Area fraction: gives the size of an ad in the percentage of the page size. If the field is not empty censhare uses it to calculate the size of the ad in relation to the page size. This is then used to calculate the ratio between ads and editorial texts in the flatplan. In all other cases, censhare uses the real ad format for the calculation.

• Domain: assignment of the 1st domain.

• 2nd Domain: assignment of the 2nd domain.

• Width (mm): paper width (without bleed) in mm.

• Height (mm): paper height (without bleed) in mm.

• Margin inside (mm): inner margin to the type area in mm (= right margin in single-page mode).

• Margin outside (mm): outer margin to the type area in mm (= left margin in single-page mode).

• Margin top (mm): top margin to the type area in mm.

• Margin bottom (mm): bottom margin to the type area in mm.

• Number of columns: number of columns.

• Column gutter (mm): column gutter in mm (will not be calculated automatically, has to be entered manually).

• Column width (mm): column width in mm (will not be calculated automatically, has to be entered manually).

• Number of rows: number of lines for the gutter.

• Row gutter (mm): row gutter in mm.

• Row height (mm): row height in mm.
