Configure file types - SysAdmin

Overview

This Master data section creates and maintains file types. Other than the MIME-type definitions, the filetypes do not specify technical details of physical files, but rather determine the role that a given storage item plays for an asset. In connection with the functionality of certain server modules, it is also possible to create custom new filetypes.

The preconfigured filetypes must not be altered!

Details

• ID: unique key of the filetype.

• Name: visible name of the filetype (in all defined system languages).

• Description: descriptive text for the filetype (in all defined system languages).
