Set up E-mail links

Installation of the necessary XSLT extensions for censhare Web

To send a temporary download link in censhare 5 Web you cannot rely on the existing installation. All necessary XSLT assets must be installed first by an administrator.

In order to make this function available to all users of the censhareWeb HTML interface a synchronization of the search path "required" must be active in the Admin-Client under "Administration/Module Assets/Synchronize system module assets".

The installation requires the following:

XML
/install/assets/required/censhare5/temporary-downloadlink-email-template.censhare-assets
/install/assets/required/transformation/XSLT-create-temporary-download-link.censhare-assets

If you do not want to send the links with your own local mail program, the e-mail server/e-mail service on your censhare server must be configured and enabled.

When selecting an asset or multiple assets you will find the command to send assets in the contextual menu on the right. Once you have selected two or more assets displayed in an asset search the Icon button icon "Create e-mail link" also appears in the page title. In the following selection dialog, you can select which files of the assets should be included. By default, the check box always for the master file is preselected. Below you define the expiry date of the links to be sent. After that, the temporary download assets are deleted from the server. The default setting is valid for 14 days.

Select the asset files you want to be sent.

censhare 5 Web requires setting up the e-mail service with Keystore for SMTPS authentification. SMTPS is a standard of secure communication for e-mail transport via SMTP over SSL / TLS and permits high integrity and confidentiality of transmitted messages. If this is not yet the case, e.g. after an update, where only the standard unencrypted e-mail service is active, the user receives no warning in censhare 5 Web and no e-mails are being sent.
