censhare offers a built-in XML-based Content Editor. As well as the option to edit Office documents.
Both can be used out-of-the-box. And there are flexible possibilities to adapt content editing to your users' needs.
Newsroom management
The Content page is the newsroom in censhare, where users create and publish the content for channels, execute campaigns, and manage topics and categories.
censhare offers Kanban boards to visually plan the publication cycles of your magazines and issues.
Image management — Images are an indispensable element of all media asset management systems.
- Configure automatic image creation — Create settings that are automatically applied to new or modified images.
- ImageService API — Configure advanced image processing, for example in multi-pages files.
- Image service - apply ICC profiles — ImageMagick for image conversion and image scaling via the image service destination, color profiles can be specified.
- Image service - Xinet — The image service Xinet is available in addition to ImageMagick, Helios, and JAI.
- Configure image resolutions — This Master data section creates and maintains settings for minimum resolutions of images that were placed in layout applications.
- Create isolated product images via clipping paths — The censhare image service can create an additional cropped image when an image contains a clipping path.
- Image cropping - transformation variant — With this transformation, you can create arbitrary image crops with a fixed aspect ratio as a variant of the source image.
- Indexed PNG image files converted with pngquant — Convert 24-bit images into smaller and optimized 8-bit PNG files.
- Image orientation feature — When users upload an image, censhare automatically determines dimensions and calculates an aspect ratio (landscape, square, portrait). The value is stored in the respective asset property. The feature is part of the censhare standard workspace. You can customize this feature, if necessary.
- Support for Adobe PSB MIME type — PSB is used for image files with up to 300000 pixels width or height.
- Metadata mapping for media file import/export — On import, censhare detects the MIME types of imported files and writes embedded metadata into asset properties. On export, the asset properties can be synchronized back into the file metadata. The synchronization is also used in the CIHUB integration.
- Metadata handling in variants and dynamic downloads — Ensure that media file metadata are consistent in all variants and dynamic download formats.
