Common actions menu_user

Asset actions are a basic feature of censhare. They are related to asset properties, relations or content output.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites in order to use these actions. Some actions are suitable for administrator only, and need a specific access.

Introduction

Asset actions are a basic feature of censhare Web. When you work with assets, you frequently execute asset actions to do so. These can be called from an asset page, asset list or a widget that displays related assets. Some applications also show related assets with specific asset actions.

You can find all available asset actions in the asset page menu or in the actions menu in asset lists and relation widgets, respectively. The actions available there may vary according to the context.

Accessing asset actions

To access the menu with the available actions, censhare provides several options.

On an asset page

All actions can be found in the asset page menu. Some actions are suitable for administrator only, and need a specific access, the developer mode. For some actions, you need the respective permissions in order to see and execute them.

Relations widgets show assets that are related to the currently opened asset. The Single relations widget shows one relation type per widget. The Multi-relations widget can show multiple relation types. These widgets are widely used in censhare Web, each with a specific configuration. To call these actions, first, you have to select the respective assets. This can be done in asset lists or relation widgets.

In asset lists

As soon as you select multiple assets from the list, the asset actions menu is shown on top of the list. Besides that, frequently used actions can be accessed directly.
