Product editions

Product editions represent products that were manufactured in the same production unit, made in the same batch, or supplied in the same shipment. Product editions are not part of the product classification.

Context

Product editions are optional assets to which you can assign Products.

Usage

A Product edition represents a group of Products that were manufactured in the same production unit, made in the same batch or delivered with the same shipment. The Product edition stores data like the manufacturer ID, batch number, or shipment number that allow you to track the origin of products.

Data model

Product editions are assigned to Products that are manufactured at the same unit, in the same batch, or delivered in the same shipment.
