AI-based metadata enhancements for 3D models

censhare offers an out-of-the-box ability for enhancing asset metadata by means of auto tagging and auto categorization of 3D assets.

Additional metadata helps to find assets faster, even if you have vast amounts of them. Therefore, auto tagging and categorization enables you to manage your 3D models more efficiently.

How to enhance 3D asset metadata using AI-based auto tagging in censhare Web

In censhare Web, you can auto tag your 3D assets using our AI-based tool. For this, you need to open the 3D model asset, go to the Analysis tab and click the Analyze button.

After the analysis is finished, the meta data will be shown in the Properties widget.

Which metadata can be generated

The full scope of the feature allows to generate the following metadata.

• caption: a free-text description of the modelled object

• category: asset taxonomy

• keywords: keywords to describe the model, also keywords in the censhare terminology

• colors: main color palette of the model

• model properties: characteristics specific to 3D models

You can configure which metadata can be generated if you do not need all of these as described in this article .

Keywords, categories, and colors are own assets. Caption and model properties are not.

Caption can be changed manually in the Properties widget on the Properties tab, but running a new analysis after doing manual changes will remove them.
