Introduction
With the censhare standard workspace for Dedicated solutions, configuration and customization efforts were widely reduced. The censhare standard workspace for dedicated solutions covers a wide range of use cases out of the box. The data model follows the censhare standards and can be customized if necessary. For example, use a custom product classification or a GS1 standard product classification.
The master data and module assets for Dedicates Solutions are preinstalled in the censhare standard workspace:
Master data: Domains, roles, permission sets, workflows and workflow states
Asset templates: Common resources (groups, stored searches), Person asset templates (designer, manufacturer, retailer), Brand asset templates, Content asset templates (editorial, article, product description), Product asset templates (product, product category, product edition, product family, product feature story, product hero, product output, product series, product set, product text block and product text block title)
Server actions: Domain management group action, and Move-to domain actions
Test users: Media consumer, Media enabler, Media manager, Media specialist, Product manager, Product specialist, Solution administrator
Modules: Dialog groups, Quality gate sequences (content sequence, marketing plan sequence, media sequence, product category sequence, product sequence, project sequence), and generic Quality gates (created, content, localized, media, signed off, team)
Features: Approval types, Team member roles
Workspace variants: Dashboard - Overview tab (admin, consumer, enabler, manager, solution administrator, specialist)
Hints & Tips
- If you update your system from versions prior to 2019.3, you may have to adapt your domain framework to be compliant with the new standard governance model that is used for censhare dedicated solutions.
- To set up and test your configurations and customizations, import the optional sample data. The sample data comprise Feature sets, persons, companies, departments, campaigns, projects, tactics, subjects, channels, locations, brands, goals, product categories, products, product features, images, videos, 3D models and articles. For more information, see Import sample data.
Synchronize master data and modules
This step is required for correct function of the dedicated solutions. If you do not setup the automatic synchronization, you must install the dedicated solutions manually after each server restart.
The automatic synchronization ensures that module assets and master data of the censhare Dedicated solutions are imported automatically after each restart of the censhare server. To synchronize the module assets and master data automatically, do the following:
In the censhare Admin Client, open the Configuration/Modules/Administration/Module Assets directory.
Open the Synchronize module assets (automatic) configuration.
In Configuration asset import section, in the Search paths area, click to add a new Path field.
In the field, enter dedicated solutions, and sure that the path is enabled.
To save the configuration, click OK.
Update the server configuration. If you have multiple servers, synchronize the remote servers.
Install master data and modules manually
The master data, module assets, features and templates for the dedicated solutions are preinstalled with the censhare standard workspace of censhare 2019.3. To install updates, or reinstall the dedicated solutions, you can install the module assets and master data with a manual synchronization action in the censhare Admin Client:
In the toolbar of the censhare Admin Client, click and select Synchronize dedicated solutions.
In the dialog, select the dedicated solutions directory. To install only individual modules, select the respective subdirectory.
To start the installation, click OK.
The report dialog shows a summary of imported, updated and skipped items. If an error occurs, an error report is shown. To close the dialog, click OK.
Server actions
The installation adds the Domain management menu to the asset actions in censhare Web. The menu contains the following Server actions that help you to manage assets in the standard domain structure.
Note: The Server actions require the standard solutions domain tree. If you use a replicated domain tree or a custom domain tree, the Server actions must be adjusted accordingly.
The following server actions are installed in the censhare standard workspace for dedicated solutions:
Move to: Global share - Moves the selected asset to the Root/Global share domain.
Move to: Content - Moves the selected asset to the Root/Solution administration/Organization/Content domain.
Move to: Product - Moves the selected asset to the Root/Solution administration/Organization/Product share domain.
Move to: Media - Moves the selected asset to the Root/Solution administration/Organization/Media share domain.
Move to: Common resources - Moves the selected asset to the Root/Common resources domain.
The Domain management server actions are enabled by default. To disable or change them, go to the configurations in the censhare Admin Client:
Open the Configuration/Modules/Asset Attributes directory.
Open and edit the desired configurations:
Standard solutions domain switcher: Common resources
Standard solutions domain switcher: Content domain
Standard solutions domain switcher: Global share
Standard solutions domain switcher: Media domain
Standard solutions domain switcher: Product domain
To save, click OK.
Get started with domains
The installation creates a domain tree for the Main domain (also called 1st domain or simply Domain). The domains can be found in the censhare Admin Client, in the Master data/1st Domains table. Customize the domain tree if necessary and add the 2nd Domain. For more information, see Domain frameworks for dedicated solutions.
Get started with roles and permissions
The installation adds roles and permission sets to the master data. censhare Users must be created in the censhare Admin Client, in the Master data/Users table. The roles can be found in the censhare Admin Client, in the Master data/Roles table. The permission sets can be found in the censhare Admin Client, in the Master data/Permission sets table.
To complete the setup, assign the required permission sets to each role. Optionally, you can assign a workflow range that each role can set. For more information, see Role and permission schemas for dedicated solutions.
Get started with users
Users require a default role in their main domain, and differing roles with the respective permission sets in commonly used and shared domains.
Create users in the censhare Admin Client, assign a default domain and role, and additional domains and roles. For more information, see User roles for dedicated solutions.
Get started with workflows
The installation creates generic workflow states, and domain specific workflows. The workflow states are stored in the censhare Admin Client, in the Master data/Workflow states table. The workflows are stored in the censhare Admin Client, in the Master data/Workflows table. You can customize the workflows, disable workflows, or add additional workflows. For more information, see Workflows for dedicated solutions.
Get started with templates
The installation creates a set of templates that can be used as-is. Asset templates are assets or asset structures with predefined properties and relations. Asset templates are a convenient way to create new assets. With Asset templates, you ensure that your data is complete and consistent.
For a list of all templates that were created with the test data import, open the Stored searches menu in the Side navigation and select Standard solution: Templates.
In the Create asset dialog, the Asset from template tab shows all templates that were imported with the test data in the Standard folder. The templates are organized in the following sub-folders:
Contact: Create person assets for manufacturers, retailers, or designers, and brand assets.
Content: Create localized text snippets and articles.
Product: Create products and related assets.
Other: Create social media assets and metadata assets for publications and exports.
You can configure the Create asset dialog so that users can only create new assets from templates. For more information, see Customize the Create asset dialog.
Configure approvals
In projects, subjects and products, users can start an approval process for projects, campaigns, and products. As a solution administrator, you can configure dedicated approvals for different work areas and stakeholders. For more information, see Configure approvals for dedicated solutions.
