Configure Contextual Search

Information for admins about Contextual Search .

To start using Contextual Search, you will need:

  • Acquire a license

  • Upgrade to at least Censhare Cloud 1.13

  • Optionally, wait for the feature to be added (if you were on Cloud 1.13 before getting the license)

  • In the Cloud Cockpit UI:

    • Configure the search (see next section)

    • Trigger the initial sync by clicking on the “Trigger Full Sync” button on the bottom right

    • Wait for the first indexing to happen

Initial sync of your assets can take up to a few hours or days depending on the amount to sync.

  • In the Censhare Admin Client:

    • Go to Configuration → Modules → Event Forwarder → Native AI

    • Enable both configurations

    • Run the server action “Synchronize module assets – required”

After this, users will be able to use Contextual Search in Censhare Web.

Contextual Search can be (re)configured at any time. However, we do not recommend changing configuration too often. Ideally, you should configure everything only once: before you start using Contextual Search.

Therefore, please consider which configuration is essential for your users. The following can be configured for the Contextual Search:

  • which MIME types should appear in the results

  • which asset metadata should be indexed (i.e., searched through)

Both can be configured in the Cockpit UI. For this, go to the Navigation on the left side, expand Configurations → AI Search.

Save your changes by clicking on the Save button underneath.

Each time you change the configuration, a re-indexing will happen in the background. Please wait before you can continue using the service, especially, if you added anything in the configuration. This will make sure that the AI search engine will take into account all newly specified parameters.
