Export the results of your searches and share them with others. Asset details such as ID, name or version are exported. Export file formats are Microsoft Excel and XML.

Prerequisites

A search has been performed. A search result is displayed.

Introduction

In censhare Web, you can export the results of your searches into XML or Microsoft Excel files, from any search result page. For every asset of the search, specific asset details are exported. For example, asset ID, asset name, or asset type.

By default, you can choose between the following export options, so-called Transformations:

  • Simple Microsoft Excel document
Exports asset ID, asset name, asset type, asset version, deadline, and workflow data into Microsoft Excel.

  • Simple XML
Exports asset ID, asset name, asset type, asset version, deadline, and workflow data into XML.

Your censhare administrator can customize these options or add more options for selection in the search results.

The exported file is downloaded to your local system. You can browse the file. Or share the file externally with other users.

  1. Perform any kind of search. The search results are displayed.

  2. From the Page actions menu of the Search page, select Export search result. A dialog displays.
