We continue adding functionality to our Git integration in the Admin Client. Starting from this release, you can pull master data changes from a Git repository to a server. This allows reusing business logic customizations between environments and even projects. We also implemented a mechanism for disabling propagation of master data changes upon a pull. This functionality enables solution developers to store different sets of master data in Git and apply only the one they need.
We successfully tested censhare Clients on macOS Sequoia and can confirm that they run smoothly. No problems with Adobe InDesign plugin has been discovered either.
This is another small but powerful UX enhancement that we included in this release. Previously, when a user opened an asset from the search results page and later returned to the search, they landed at the beginning of the results. Now, the search page remembers the last scroll position. This should save a lot of effort for users working with huge amounts of assets and who cannot refine searches for any reason.
Highlights PIM
Search filter UX improvements
No more infinite scrolling in the filter navigation pane: filters are collapsed by default, and five filters with the biggest amount of assets appear on top. We also implemented a Show more/less button that expands or collapses filter nodes. Sub nodes remain collapsed by default as before.
The Rich Text UI control allows to edit and display rich text that is stored in asset properties. The Rich Text UI control can be added individually to any text field. By default, you find the Rich text editor in the Product description widget.
Changes tracking for ICML assets is now ultimately consistent across all applications: Java Client, censhare Web, and Adobe InCopy. Regardless of where you edit your content, all changes are treated and shown equally. You won‘t miss any important content updates done by you or your collaborators.
Highlights Print Production
Page preferences for print setup (censhare Client)
You can define and select a default Page Setup profile in the censhare Client that is then always used when you are printing or creating a PDF. You can define several Page Setup profiles in the censhare Client and then select one of profiles as default which is then automatically selected.
For PDFs, the Preview widget in censhare Web can now switch between single-page and double-page layouts. The censhare Client supports the multi-page layout in the Communication window for PDFs. You can configure if users allowed to use the multi-page layout for PDFs in censhare Web.
When a multi-page PDF document with markers is replaced by a version with fewer pages, markers associated with deleted pages remain in the asset but can no longer be edited. Attempting to edit a marker on a deleted page will result in an error message.
