Updated ImageMagick RPMs with updated libraries - August 2025

ImageMagick will be delivered in two RPMs with a dedicated build for Centos 7, Rocky Linux 8 / RHEL8. And another dedicated build for Alma Linux 9 / RHEL9
Please note that we haven’t tested the installation on other linux systems than Centos 7, Rocky Linux 8 and Alma Linux 9
To distinguish between both builds the AlmaLinux build has the postfix -Alma9 in the name.
The RPM will automatically uninstall any outdated RPMs on Centos 7 and Rocky Linux 8 from previous systems.
The new ImageMagick has the following names depending on the OS:
Centos7 | RockyLinux8
censhare-ImageMagick-7.1.2-0.0.x86_64.rpm
censhare-ImageMagick-libs-7.1.2-0.0.x86_64.rpm
AlmaLinux9
censhare-ImageMagick-Alma9-7.1.2-2.0.x86_64.rpm
censhare-ImageMagick-libs-Alma9-7.1.2-2.0.x86_64.rpm
Installation is done as usual from RPM repository or downloaded RPM.
On AlmaLinux9 do not install the censhare-ImageTools RPM, install censhare-ImageTools-Alma9 instead
It may be necessary to use the --nodeps --nogpgcheck options with rpm command
Please check the ImageMagick policy afterwards
Note: ImageMagick supports JPEG XL, JPEG2000, OpenEXR, UHDR and RSVG as well as all RAW formats which are supported by LibRaw version 0.21.4
