Configure InDesign layouts

Learn how to configure layout assets.

Performance improvements for processing InDesign layouts — Reduced time for opening Adobe InDesign documents that reference placed Adobe InCopy assets via external VFS links. InCopy stories are permanently embedded into the Adobe InDesign document when opening such a document.

Searchable geometry update flags — All geometry update flags are searchable.

Export InDesign layouts to standard articles (censhare Client) — InDesign allows you to select text and image boxes and combine them into a single article. Since version 4.8 censhare uses this functionality to generate an export for the article editor from the IDML of the InDesign layout. The resulting XML can be processed for various output channels (online, EPUB, App and print).

After saving, the asset structure is updated accordingly to the variant and placed instead of the original.

Filter assets in the Editor for InDesign documents (censhare Client) — The placement of assets from collections is not conducted by the Client but instead on the server. The rules for this purpose are not known to the Client. For this reason, censhare does not filter assets in the Editor for InDesign Documents of the censhare Client.
