The Xeditor asset structure
To work with the Xeditor, the censhare system provides an Article asset structure as a template:
Elements of the structure:
- The Xeditor text asset contains the XML text itself. The asset type is Text/Xeditor text. The asset is related with an Xeditor schema asset that defines the XML structure of the XML text. If there is no schema attached, you cannot edit the text.
- The Xeditor schema asset contains an XML text structure definition that can be used with an Xeditor text asset. The asset type is Module/Xeditor module/Xeditor schema. censhare provides a standard schema for the Xeditor: Xeditor Standard Content Structure schema. This schema is based upon the Standard Content Structure that is also used with the Content Editor.
- The Article asset is the frame for one or more Xeditor text assets. The asset type is Article. This asset structure can be used to combine the original text and one or more translations of it. The translated texts are then a Variant with update flag of the original text. This allows to check if the original text has been changed and update the translation.
